August 29th, 2011 - The Women’s Ranch Rodeo Association had a “double header” last weekend in Earth and Hereford, Texas.  These were two of 16 qualifying rodeos for the finals which will be held at the Coors Cowboy Club in Amarillo, Texas in October.  WRRA rodeos have five events, branding, trailer loading, sorting, tie down and doctoring. Teams of four women compete in the timed events.  The 7L team won both rodeos. These team members are from Kansas, Oklahoma and Florida. This team is in first place for the year-end standings.  Teams can attend the finals by winning one qualifying rodeo, but teams which compete in at least 10 rodeos are in contention for year-end prizes as well.
