RANCH ROYALTY CLOTHING COMPANY TO BE CONTESTANT JACKET
SPONSOR FOR THE WOMENS RANCH RODEO ASSOCIATION 2011 FINALS.
Pueblo, Colorado, September 19, 2011 —- Ranch Royalty Clothing Company,
headquartered in Crowell, TX will be the official contestant jacket sponsor for the 2011
Women’s Ranch Rodeo Association (WRRA) Finals being held October 13-14-15 in
Amarillo. As part of the agreement, Ranch Royalty will provide a specially designed
contestant jacket for each of the 64 cowgirls competing in the Finals.
The WRRA Finals, as well as each of its rodeos during the year, features all
women teams competing in five ranch rodeo events. Each team has four contestants.
Sixteen teams will be competing in the 2011 Finals, which is being produced by the
Coors Cowboy Club of Amarillo and will be held at the Amarillo National Center. The
Coors Cowboy Club will produce the WRRA Finals in Amarillo for the next five years.
Ranch Royalty was founded in 0000 by Ursla Lewis and markets a broad line of
western clothing through retailers and via the Internet. “I come from a ranching
background and live much the same life as the WRRA cowgirls. I design my clothing
with that in mind,” said Ms. Lewis. “The jackets I have created for the WRRA finals will
be functional enough for working on a ranch yet trendy enough to wear for a night on
the town.”
The WRRA was formed in 2005 by a group of women who wanted to have their
own association and compete among themselves. “We enjoy competing against each
other and we have demonstrated that we have the skills required to excel at this sport,”
said Billie Franks, one of the original organizers and still the group’s key administrator.
“Our members are skilled cowgirls. Many of them live on working ranches and compete
in other ranch rodeos and roping events throughout the year. We know they will be
wearing their Ranch Royalty 2011 Finals contestant jackets to many of these events as
well.”
In commenting on the agreement, Ms. Lewis noted, “We are extremely pleased
to be affiliated with the WRRA. Ranch rodeo is continues to grow in popularity and we
believe that women’s ranch rodeo as presented by the WRRA has a very bright future.
